I have been photographing a family of bluebirds and am fascinated that not only the male and female adult bluebirds are feeding the new brood of nestlings in the box, but the juveniles from previous broods are also helping out! Pictured are left to right on top of the box: male, female, and juvenile bluebirds; nestling is peeking out the hole. I merged four images to produce this single one.
I am a retired high school English teacher who loves photographing nature with wild birds as my main interest. I live in southwestern Louisiana and enjoy the plethora of wildlife and waterfowl indigenous to the area; I also love landscape shots of the swamplands and marshes and wetlands of our state.
