Spring is my favorite time of year; in rural Louisiana there are vast fields of wildflowers blooming. The combination of the flowers with the red barn, the blue sky, and the horses make for a beautiful pastoral scene which is both tranquil and calming.

I am a retired high school English teacher who loves photographing nature with wild birds as my main interest. I live in southwestern Louisiana and enjoy the plethora of wildlife and waterfowl indigenous to the area; I also love landscape shots of the swamplands and marshes and wetlands of our state.
