Description
I photographed this painted bunting in my yard. Painted buntings come to Louisiana during mid-Spring and remain here most of the summer during the mating season. In Cajun Louisiana, the French have always called this colorful little bird "nonpareil" meaning unparalleled. It is a sight to see!
